Quick Care & Use Guides

Never run your brass pasta tools through the dishwasher.

To clean brass tools, take a clean rag and dampen in a mixture of water and lemon juice, or water and baking soda. Squeeze out excess water and gently rub the metal and brass to clean off any dough or flour stuck to the surface. Allow tools to dry in a cool, ventilated place.

Only use your pasta board for pastry, bread, and pasta dough. Using it for cutting or preparing other food may damage the board and cause it to absorb strong odors that can seep into your dough.

After each use, thoroughly scrape off any bits of dough and flour with a bench scraper. Wipe clean with a non-abrasive, damp cloth.

Never soak your board in water or liquids of any kind and do not wash with harsh detergents. Soap and cleaning products can cause your pasta dough to absorb odors and chemicals.

The best antidote to keeping your board hydrated is to use it frequently! The moisture from your dough will help cure the board.

Never put your wooden pasta tools in the dishwasher. Do not wash with harsh soaps or chemicals.

To clean, wipe with a non-abrasive, damp cloth.

To remove pieces of caked dough, dip a toothbrush in a mixture of water and baking soda and gently scrub the affected area.

If pieces are looking dry, rub with a dab of food-safe mineral oil.

Never put your pasta machine in the dishwasher.

Wipe clean with a dry brush or cloth after each use.

To remove pasta dough stuck in the grates, disconnect the attachment and use a rod or brush to scrape out any bits of flour or dough. In case of squeaking, add a few drops of food-safe Vaseline oil to the end of the rollers.

Upon receiving your olive wood pieces, rub with food-safe mineral oil to season the wood (you can even use olive oil to do this).

Hand wash in warm water with a gentle detergent and dry immediately after use. Re-oil your pieces as needed with a soft kitchen towel, when the wood begins to look and feel a bit dry, at least once a month. Rub the oil in a circular motion from top to bottom, covering the whole piece.

Nota bene: never put olive wood in the dishwasher.

These dishes can get hot! Handle with care when serving warm foods.

Hand wash in cold water with a non-abrasive sponge and gentle dish detergent. The hand-painted phrases are heat-treated but not glazed. Abrasive sponges and sharp knives will scratch the hand-painted decoration.

Nota bene: never put your enamel dishes in the dishwasher or microwave.
