Sardinian Pasta Wheel
This little wheel has island roots. Hand-turned on a lathe and finished by hand, this solid brass rotella (wheel cutter) hails from Sardinia, where artisans have shaped pasta and pastry with tools like this for generations.
Choose from three traditional patterns: onde (waves), pizzo (lace), or festoni (garland), each one designed to leave a decorative, scalloped edge wherever it rolls. Run it along a sheet of pappardelle, crimp the border of a ravioli, or use it the way Sardinian home cooks always have — to decorate Su Pistiddu, a traditional Sardinian pastry.
One small tool, endless ruffled edges.
Note: Each wheel is handmade and may have slight a patina and signs of a small artisan workshop.
Wheel diameter: 1 inch. Total length: 5.5-6 inches.
