The q.b. Cookbook Club is a paid community of passionate home cooks who gather virtually to cook from Italian cookbooks together. Members are adventurous, engaged, and deeply committed — each one purchases the featured book, cooks weekly, and shares their creations in our private online community. For authors and publishers, this means guaranteed book sales, authentic buzz, and long-tail visibility as members continue to revisit recipes for years to come.

Primarily based in the U.S., our book club members are 80% female and 20% male. On average, we see a 3% growth rate every two months.

We cook from each book for two months. In that period, members publish ~200 posts with 900 comments inside our private forum. Outside of the forum, members post on their own personal social media channels, and will often tag authors, generating authentic UGC.

The q.b. Cookbook Club has a 5-star rating from members and we see a +90% retention rate from cohort to cohort – an indication of genuine satisfaction and engagement.

HOW IT WORKS

PROMOTE THE CLUB

A few months before the cohort begins, we announce our next Italian cookbook and invite our audience to join the club. We send out email newsletters and post on Instagram to promote both the cookbook and the club. We also stock the cookbook in our shop for members and others to purchase.

A few weeks before the cohort starts, members get their cookbook and we send out a recipe cooking schedule. Once the two-month cohort begins, members cook 1 recipe from the book each week for 8 weeks.

After cooking each recipe, members post in our online forum, sharing details about the dish they made. This encourages discussion and members get to interact with each other about the book.

meet the author

Ideally, we host a virtual cooking demo or Q&A with the cookbook author. This gives members a chance to get to know the author, building a deeper connection that goes beyond the book and leaving a lasting impression. Event recordings are published in our private forum indefinitely for current and future members to watch.
